Who We Are

Freedom & Joy Church

At Freedom and Joy Church, we exist to connect people with God and His plan for their lives. We believe that God desires each of us to experience freedom and joy in Christ, yet we also recognize that life often falls short of that reality.

We focus on overcoming three major barriers:

  • Sin – Through repentance and forgiveness, we find healing.
  • Fear – Through faith and love, we find courage.
  • Confusion – Through clarity and purpose, we find direction.

We are a discipleship community—a place where people grow, strengthen, and walk deeply with Jesus. We are not here to simply attend church; we are here to be transformed.

01

Our Core Commitments

At Freedom and Joy Church, we commit to:

  • Loving & Obeying God – Our first and greatest commandment.

  • Loving One Another – As Christ has loved us, we love each other.

  • Authentic & Respectful Conversations – Silence is not golden; we weigh in with honesty and grace.

  • Deep Listening & Understanding – We speak and listen until mutual understanding is achieved.

02

Our Four Pillars

Everything we do is built on these foundations:

  • Worship – We exist to glorify and adore God.

  • Prayer – We pray in all seasons—without grumbling, without ceasing, and always in faith.

  • Discipleship – We seek Jesus through Scripture and follow the Holy Spirit daily.

  • Fellowship – We walk together, slowing down for some and speeding up for others, knowing that deep relationships take time and effort.

03

Who Thrives Here?

This is a church for people who are hungry to grow. If you feel stuck but are willing to push forward, strive, and work through challenges, you will thrive here. Freedom and joy take grit, perseverance, and effort—and we walk that journey together.

04

Our Vision

We are building a discipleship community where people grow in character, skills, and capacity. We don’t measure success by numbers—we measure it by spiritual, emotional, and intellectual maturity.

We want to be known as the place you go if you are serious about deepening your walk with Jesus.

Our Heart & Mission

01

Why We Started This Church

We love the local church. Between our leadership team, we have experienced ministry across different cultures, denominations, and seasons of life. Some of our most beautiful experiences have been in the church. But we have also seen the worst—abuse, corruption, and deep wounds caused by leaders who should have known better.

We are not here to cast judgment, but we will not be false witnesses. We will not pretend that church abuse hasn’t happened when it has.

God has called us to create a community where people who have been hurt by churches and religious institutions can experience His freedom and joy. If anyone understands betrayal by God’s own people, it is Jesus. And we believe He wants to shepherd His people rightly.

02

Our Dream

If we could dream without limits, we would see church abuse relegated to history. We would see churches so healthy, vibrant, and Christ-centered that people expect to experience God as He truly is.

We would see disciples who walk in freedom and joy, grace and truth, righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. We would be an example—not because of our own strength, but because of what Christ accomplishes through us.

03

What Keeps Us Going?

Each soul matters to God. Each soul matters to us.

We are reminded that these men and women are not ours—they are His. He bought them with His own precious blood, and we desire to give all we have to love them as He does.

04

What Excites Us?

Seeing people connect with God and step into His calling is extraordinary. Watching the gospel take root in hearts and minds is life-changing.

We are excited to lead a community that grows and strengthens in adversity, that sees and celebrates the glory of God in one another.
